Hi! This is a quicky post about the Jane Iredale Glow Time Full Coverage Mineral BB Cream. It has garnered a cult following among green beauty lovers and for those with sensitive skin or dry skin.
Here I have trialled complimentary of JI, 2 shades – shade BB3 and BB5. I received small testers of these and have swatched them for you below here:
The BB3 is more pink toned – cooler – this is swatched on the right side (closest to thumb side). Looked a bit dull on me.
The BB 5 is more peach toned – warmer – this is swatched on the left side (outer palm side). This was better but probably just a touch too warm/orange.
This BB cream is a FULL COVERAGE cream. You can see the creaminess in the images above. It is like a full coverage foundation, which I’m not used to since I wear more sheer coverage. But I can see this will be great for events, functions or when you might be doing photography (eg. headshots or formal photos etc).
Thick creamy consistency which dries down to a powdery finish – so there is no need to powder finish. Though in saying that I found it probably a bit too powdery a finish it like a bit cakey on me. In addition being a mineral foundation, it will develop a bit of shine throughout the day (or it did for me).
Overall, it is a good BB cream which acts like a full coverage foundation and will suit those who like full coverage but I still prefer my light coverage foundation at this moment!
I hope these swatches help for those looking to try this one out. I would recommend you try it first – maybe try and get an application done and wear it for a day and see if it works for you.
